In the process of Gunpowder Ceylon Green tea, and after the green tea leaves are carefully harvested, the leaves are tightly rolled into small, round pellets. The term "gunpowder" is derived from the tea's unique production method and distinctive appearance and is also being referred to as "pearl tea" or "bead tea", owing to the small, spherical shape of each tea pellet. When hot water is poured over these pellets, they rapidly unfurl, creating a visual spectacle akin to an explosion.
Our organic Gunpowder Ceylon Green tea offers a robust, full-bodied infusion with subtle smoky notes and a velvety mouthfeel.

Brewing Guide
- Put 1 tsp of Gunpowder Ceylon Green tea into a cup.
- Pour into the cup 240 ml 85°C water.
- Brew for 2-3 minutes for the first brewing, longer time for the following brewing.
Tip: Blend it with fresh or dried spearmint/ peppermint to craft the famous "Moroccan Mint" tea.
